2:19 pm - And this is the extent of my creativity

Brendan:  my stomach is trying to flip inside out and eat my other organs
me:  I'd like to see that happen...it would be interesting...
stomach:  YOU'RE MINE LIVER!!! *OM NOM NOM*
me:  kidneys:  [try desperately to detach and head for safety in the colon, but alas!]
stomach:  YOU CANNOT ESCAPE!!!  *OM NOM NOM*
[enter the APPENDIX!  It has tripled in size and is here to save the day!]
Appendix:  They thought I was a superfluous organ!  A byproduct of evolution!  But I am here to save these organs!
[stomach and appendix fight to the death.  stomach is destroyed.  Appendix bursts and you die of septic shock]
The end
 Brendan:  you
have serious fucking problems
 me:  ...
OK, so I guess I need to work on character development...

9:53 pm - Big Sis is proud

Check out my little brother!  He's playing with M16s!!!!!

Here, he's the one on the far left

Here, he's the second from the right

I am also proud to say that my brother is now a sharpshooter for the US Army.  He managed to hit 34 of 40 targets, and got all 5 of the 300 meter targets.  He gets his badge during graduation!

He told me that he has a new girlfriend.  When I asked who it was, he said it was his gun.  Her name is Black Beauty...and no, she won't be coming home this Christmas to meet them family (much to my dismay...this is seriously the best girlfriend Ricky has ever had).

12:43 am - Kora's here!!!
Well everyone, as of 9:16 am February 22, 2008...I am an Aunt!

Kora Lynn Weber was born!  6 lbs, 14 oz, and 19 inches long.  She's so beautiful!  After all the waiting, all the drama, all the scares...she's really here!  I can't even begin to describe what this feels like.  I got to see her when she was only 6 minutes old!  And the first time she looked at me was so...wow.

I just feel so honored to know that i get to see this baby grow up!  And this is the beginning!  All of these firsts that I feel like I get to be apart of!  And seeing Lizz and Adam!?  Its just beautiful!

Lizz is just being so...maternal!  And Adam is such a proud father.  The two of them make a wonderful team.   They will be great parents.

I'd attempt to post pictures, but I don't have them on this computer.  Instead, check out my facebook page or http://www.flickr.com/photos/24062084@N06/

I plan on having most of these pictures made into hard copy form, and one or two will be blown up and given to my sister because seriously....the one where Kora is looking right at Lizz like "Ooooohhh...I get it!  You're my Mom!" is just the most precious picture I've ever taken.

I'm so ridiculously happy right now!

Soooo...Heath Ledger

Yeah, I'm opening it up.

First off, awesome guy; acwesome actor, awesome father, awesomely good looking, awesome accent.

Maybe I'm being harsh, but I really am kind of annoyed by some people who talk about things like this...ESPECIALLY the media or anyone being interviewed BY the media.

First, they called it suicide.  THEN, they started blaming his role in the new Batman movie because it gave him trouble sleeping and he had nightmares and was disturbed by the role.  WHATEVER.

THEN, he was depressed because he and Michelle Williams broke up.

NOW, autopsy results are inconclusive and the whole world seems to be up in arms.  Was is accidental?  Was is suicide?  Was he really that depressed/disturbed????

WHO CARES!  He was a son and a father and a wonderful person and how he died should not matter THAT MUCH.  What matters is that he's leaving behind a daughter that he loved and a family that he was very close to.

I'm just so angry because people seem to be so busy being like "Oh noes!  I'm so sad Heath is dead because I saw him in SO many movies and I had SUCH a crush on him!" that they're missing the whole real guy aspect.  Show your respect, but don't seek attention because you're sad he's dead.  Think about his daughter and what she'll miss out on next time you step in front of a camera with tears in your eyes blubbering about all YOUR hopes for his future.

Ugh, I'm starting to feel like that guy/girl who did the "Leave Britney alone!" thing.

I'm just so annoyed.  After the whole Anna Nicole Smith circus and now this?  I have no respect for the media.

My family and I are about to embark on the longest 7-14 days of our lives as we wait for genetic test results to find out whether or not my unborn niece can be born.

You all know I'm not the most religious person, but I begging each and every person I know to pray, meditate, chant, light a candle, plant a tree, ring a bell, or anything else short of animal or human sacrifice for my sister and Kora Lynn (my unborn niece).  I just don't want Lizz to have to go through another bad experience.

See, I went to colorado.  They have REALLY REALLY BIG mountains there.  I saw big horn sheep and elks and magpies!  And there was SNOW!!!

Trip was wonderful...possibly life changing.  Not that I'm going to move there, but just like ocean, the mountains made me think.  Yay for moutains.

REALLY BIG MOUNTAINS!!!

I'll be going back there in march to ski.

BTW, Lizz found out she's having a baby girl!  I'M GUNNA BE AN AUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!

3:40 pm - Good decision/bad decision

GOOD DECISION:  Spending fifteen dollars to see The Gym Class Heros play at Kutztown University.  I had the greatest time EVER and I was TOTALLY flirting with the bassists (he has long hair and we were gunna go get a beer....life was wonderful)

BAD DECISION:  Missing the Steelers game.
All the updates I got during the show just made me feel so much shame.  I should have been there to mourn as a collective group with my Steelers brethren.  They all blamed me....they told me we were going to lose if I wasn't there to watch.  I was more worried about the fact that I wore my home jersey instead of my away jersey.

And I said I was going to stay away from the silly superstitions this year.

So here I am, so sad.....yet so happy I got to see a wonderful show.

To my group of Steelers Super Fans who watch football with me at Starters every week....I'm sorry to have messed up the mojo.  To all other Steelers fans, SEE WHAT SUPERSTITIONS CAN DO TO YOU!?!?!?!?!?

Hell, we're 3-1 and we're really not looking THAT bad (except for, ya know, endzone interception....so ugly Ben!).  We'll recover and kick ass next week.

Plus, I'll be watching that game ;-)

11:44 pm - TIS THE SEASON!!!
 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-steelers-women&prov=ap&type=lgns

So it appears that the Pittsburgh Steelers have the highest percentage of female fans at 34%

Next closest?  Green Bay with 29.4%

Granted the numbers came from a survey of women living in the "Steelers Market" , but that's awesome!  In fact, Steelers have more than DOUBLE the national market percentage in fans (national = 16% female football fans...BOO!)

So I feel pretty cool.  Steelers rock!

This year, as I'm sure I mentioned, I just wasn't paying too much attention to the preseason, but that's OK.  It's regular season time and my dedication is at max.  Plus, finding out one of our little group of superfans is having a baby, I'm just so thrilled.  This time next year, we'll have our first mini-superfan at the table each Sunday (...maybe...).

On a different note, I'm in love with Mike Tomlin.  I want him SO BAD!  I guess there's something about that tall, statuesque frame evoking a feeling of absolute power and silent strength to handle any siutation placed before him and a chiseled jawline with that perfectly manicured chin strap beard..............................................

HUH?!?

OH yeah, SO FOOTBALL!  Go Steelers!

The first game showed how much we have to offer.  Ben looked real good, and Willie didn't do too bad either.  Hines Ward is a golden God and our new D harkened back to days of the Steel Curtain.  The game should have been a shut out, but I'll deal with 34-7

This week, Steelers v. Bills.  Starters will be quite the fun little war zone.  You'd think since they consider themselves an Eagles bar, they would be the next larger faction, but alas, those Buffalo fans are tenacious

Oh, and The Roethlisberger is on the menu at last.  The pride I feel for bringing that Sports Illustrated that gave the recipe swells beneath my bosom.  My ample, Steelers merchandise clad bosom

Oh yeah....it's football season....

current mood: OH YEAH!!! FOOTBALL!!!!!

QUESTION!

As a Steelers fan, I have developed many...prejudices...against other teams.  Blind hatred, really...who am I kidding.

I have a friend who is a Ravens cheerleader.  He has offered me FREEEEEEEEEE tickets to the Ravens Jets game in Baltimore.

As a Steelers fan, do I accept this wonderful gift and enter the belly of the beast!??!!?

Dear California,

I would like to start by saying I've never been to see you, and now I don't think I ever will.  Although I don't know you on a personal level, I would like to say that I believe you are stupid.

I heard about this bill AB1634 here are work today...and I heard it passed.  Way to ruin show dogs and dog breeding all together there.  Mandatory spaying and neutering of all dogs as soon as they are 4 months of age.  How do you intend on regulating enforcing this law?  Are you sure $500 every year for dogs that are NOT properly spayed or neutered is enough?   Way to dsicriminate against mutts and working dogs and all those dogs that are NOT recognized as purebreeds by whatever association regulates that shit so those dog owners can get PERMITS so their dogs can have BALLS AND OVARIES.  I kinda hate you, California.

So f you, California, for giving me many many headaches today.  See, since Pedigree is a nice company that gives money to the American Humane Association in order to HELP SHELTER DOGS FIND GOOD HOMES, we are being boycotted and blamed for funding AB1634 just because the AHA SUPPORTED THE BILL.  Now, I have to deal with hundreds of angry breeders from all over the country (because other states believe they are next to receive this type of legisalation) blaming US for funding this bill that has good intentions, but TERRIBLE HORRIBLE AND RIDICULOUSLY STUPID execution.

Thanks for nothing, Jackass

12:15 pm - THINGS THAT ARE AMUSING

1.  I got this call today from the nicest lady.  A can of dog food landed on her foot and crush it.  This is apparently my fault.

2.  Fondue is a science wordStef is using fondue to defeat her enemies.

3.  Downloading the Skittles Rabbit ring tone FOR FREEEEEEE

4.  Getting all my ringtones and games credited to me.  I now have a brand new ringtone for Danno.  He (and many others) will be most amused, as am I.

5.  Choo and I constantly threatening to sweet chin music one another.  Aw yeah...Wonder Twins Power ACTIVATE!

6.  HOT DOG!  DO DA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA

And now, my break is finished...and so am I

I'm currently at work...again...and I have exactly 2 minutes to write this post!  WHOOP DEE DOOO!!!

Things are moving along...slowly but surely.  I am not trying to toot my own horn, but it's a bit annoying that I'm ahead of curve.  I just sit there with massive chunks of time doing nothing while everyone else is like "How does a computer work?"

Needless to say, it isn't THAT bad.  I do get time to play Bejeweled on my cell phone.  I just wish things were moving along.  I feel like I can be putting my time to better use if I just got like, a worksheet or something.  UGH, I shouldn't be complaining.  I'll have plenty to do once they put me on the floor.

IT IS fun to see Dave every day, though.  I get to giggle at him while he explains how Activia isn't a weightloss food, but one that promotes "healthy and regular bowel movements".  That was hilarious.  I hope Mr. Robot-ham is doing well, wherever he may be.  AND IF Dave gets back to me SOON, maybe we can have lunch together this week!!!  HINT!

THis weekend, great stuff.  Lots of fun until Danno and I both got sick.  Yes, perhaps it WAS the alfredo.  Who knows.  Hot Fuzz was a great movie.  And Ben took me out to dinner at the Riverport, which was also awesome.  Yay for Creme Brulee!!!

2 minutes = very up.  I must away.  I heart everyone who helped to make my birthday super awesome!!  Thanks again for being so wonderful everyone!!!

I am currently at work.  Whoppie!  I also just noticed that it has been like, a month since I last posted.  I guess I really did need some yoga.

RIGHT, so, new job that I'm doing good with so far.  Dave's in a whole other building, though, so that sucks.  I leave random things on his desk though!  HEEHEE!

I just wanted to give a quick post to say hi to everyone so no one thinks I'm dead or ignoring my LJ duties.

Ummm....WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*BLEEP*SPAZ!!!!!!!!!!!

6:15 pm - Master... this is tight...tight and outta sight!
Soooo, in response to my last post, I managed to beat Killer7.  I had nightmares and I needed Dan for a couple of things, but I managed to finish it.

In summation......
WWWWWHHHHHAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHEEEEEFFFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!?!?!?!??!?!

I was/am so confused by what happened at the end of that game that my brain exploded...quite a bit.

Now comes the part where I have endless discussions with Danno about what happened and why things happened and what things mean and why my TV doesn't have crazy assassins coming out of it.  PSH!

But hey, feeling of accomplishment right here.  ANNNNDDDD...now I can read Dan's LJ and he's gunna give me a copy of the soundtrack!  WOOT!

In the name of the fool...
